Job Description
The Project Manager will manage customers’ implementation from the kick-off meeting through the duration of the project with minimal direction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical writing skills with the ability to use MS Office including Excel, Word and Microsoft Project effectively. The candidate must also be comfortable with his/her presentation skills as they will be required to brief management and the customer regarding the status of the project. The Project Manager is expected to perform his/her duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as scheduled. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for the direction and development of project related documentation to include, Test and Acceptance Plans, Method’s of Procedures, and project design drawings leveraging engineering resources as applicable. This position requires travel, both stateside and international. Some of the deployments can last for several months at a time. Additional monetary incentives will be paid while overseas.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Associates degree, 2 year technical degree, relevant military experience, equivalent military training, or equivalent work experience managing large telecommunication projects
  • Intermediate training in at least 3 of the following areas: data communications, digital communications, operating systems and applications, telecommunications, computer support, project management, and/or power
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems, MS Office suite to include in depth knowledge of MS-Project
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on applications are required
  • Technical writing skills are required
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously is required
  • Ability to work extremely flexible hours and support on-call duties and shift work is required
  • Strong presentation and communications skills
  • Ability to take ownership with minimal direction
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with Project Management Institute Processes a plus
  • Ability to travel world wide
  • Must be a US citizen with a valid passport
  • A valid US driver’s license is required
  • Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance
  • Military background a plus
  • Experience with the deployment of product lines from Avaya / Nortel / CISCO, including the Meridian 1 / CS1000 / SL100 / CS2100 / AS5300 / S8700 / CallManager switching systems
  • Experience in LAN/WAN operations and IP/VoIP architectures in a Campus or Enterprise environment including deployment of Cisco, Avaya / Nortel and NEC VoIP solutions
  • Experience in Outside Plant (OSP) Infrastructure engineering, design, deployment and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)
  • Familiarization and experience with the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
